WHY US:
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning system based on functional movements performed at a high intensity while incorporating variation among movements, planes of movement and metabolic pathways. We work hard and we like to change it up because that is what life demands. We use a stopwatch and raw numbers to determine rankings, and we hold each other accountable by posting these results and rewarding the top athletes with recognition. Don’t think this is just a big or small person thing. Our workouts are a combination of Olympic Weightlifting movements and their sub lifts for speed and power; Gymnastics for strength, balance, and self awareness; and Metabolic Conditioning for endurance, stamina, and focus. It is not specialized; in fact our specialty is a lack of specialization. We strive for overall fitness, to be very good at everything. We may not beat you at your sport but we will be close. We will beat you at ours and at someone else’s though. Together we struggle though sweat and pain and on the other side we emerge stronger and faster. As the founder of CrossFit, Greg Glassman likes to say “We build camaraderie with a combination of agony and laughter”. Come join our community and make an investment of sweat that will build more than physical strength and fitness. Understand that it will be hard and you will meet, and then overcome, obstacles that have halted you in the past. Together we will strive towards “Elite Fitness”. Welcome to the revolution. |
